Overview

The Bank of New York Mellon seeks a Senior Specialist, Back-End Developer in New York, NY, to consult with internal business groups to provide appropriate application software development services and technical support. Requirements: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering or a related field and seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience must include:Utilizing technologies including C# and Java Spring Boot to write complex business logics to perform various business functions and Rest API, Webservices, WCF to communicate between applications/services using industry standards protocols to interact and communicate between the services;Utilizing knowledge of databases including SQL Server and Oracle for persisting the transactional data and using SQL, Linq to Sql to perform read and write operations on the persisted data; Utilizing Business Objects, Jasper Reports, XML with XSLT for creating and executing reports which are used by the business to report the regular business activities including business calculation, Trade details and various Key Performance indicator reports thereby providing the end users with data to make informed decisions;Utilizing front end technologies/frameworks including JavaScript, Web App, ASP.Net 2.0, ASP.Net 4.5, Adobe Flex, and React to build UI which will be used by the application users to enable them to perform various functions to solve business problems;Using knowledge of vendor Applications including Volante, Xceptor to parse the incoming client data in formats including Excel, PDF, CSV, Word to a unified way so that the same can be sent to the application to carry out the necessary business activities based on the incoming data; andUsing FX Overlay business and currency hedging to understand the business requirements and translate the same into development to build and enhance the application to solve business problems.
