We're seeking a future team member in the role of Senior Group Manager, Enterprise Control Intelligence and Analytics to join our Enterprise Control Intelligence and Analytics team. This role is located in New York City - Hybrid work model

This role sits within the Enterprise Chief Controls Office (ECCO) and reports directly to the Head of Strategy, Implementation and Enterprise Risk Review & Remediation. The ECCO is establishing industry leading risk & control management capabilities to enable responsible business growth. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing the structure, processes, and solutions to support Control Intelligence and Analytics, as an ECCO service.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
  • Establish an optimized function for delivering data-driven analytics, including driving funding via the construction of business cases, execution, delivery and coordination of related initiatives.
  • Design, implement solutions that leverage data and analytics to support proactive and reactive control issue detection
  • Understanding business requirements on how to identify, investigate, and monitor high priority risks, including emerging, sometimes ambiguous, trends at a global and regional level
  • Production of control intelligence to enable the firm to respond to internal and external events affecting clients and regulatory inquiries
  • Building control intelligence function, which is critical to establish time-to-market analytics to support efficient risk-based decision making with focus on controls, as well as establish a holistic picture of risk and control management
  • Evaluate internal and external capabilities to enhance the service, tactically and strategically.
  • Identify and build new capabilities to help collect, analyze, and disseminate actionable, global control and risk intelligence across the firm.
  • Develop operational model and execute operating process on control intelligence and control related data analytics
  • Provide strong leadership to the team, enhance, and develop a strong team culture of trust and commitment to impact in how we support our business, executives, regulators, and clients
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
  • Bachelors' degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience required, advanced degree preferred.
  • 10-15+ years of total work experience with 5+ years of management experience preferred.
  • Risk and Control SME, with experience in the securities or financial services industry preferred.
  • Track record of leading and managing impactful transformational, remediation programs, often among competing priorities, with significant complexity
  • Demonstrable success in influencing and negotiating desired outcomes with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, senior executives (including C-level) and SMEs - requires the ability to tailor communication content and style appropriately, dependent on audience.
  • Proven track record of leading strategic, innovative, and world-class work, working with extended teams in control management, risk management, business intelligence and/or data analytics fields
  • Meaningful experience in proactively building net-new capabilities and teams, growing, and developing a diverse team, and building strong and lasting collaborative relationships with stakeholders and partners across multiple lines of business and functions.
  • Successful at developing partnerships and aligning with 3LODs leaders to achieve enterprise goals and objectives

BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $122,000 and $226,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
