Overview

Job Description

Finance team helps solution Reporting, Planning & Forecasting applications which are developed in Power BI, IBM Planning Analytics Platform (formerly TM1), SSRS, Alteryx, and other technology platforms. We are looking for a talented visual designer to enhance our Power BI reports with eye-catching and professional designs. A visual designer will consult with the business team to determine design requirements, submit draft concepts for approval, and develop design prototypes for all our business requirements with collaborating with PowerBI developers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consulting with the business team and determining visual design preferences and expectations.
  • Transforming data sets, quantitative and qualitative analysis into compelling visuals.
  • Design user-centred interaction models, wireframes, or mock-ups for PowerBI reports
  • Designing visuals with unique colours, shapes, and typography fonts
  • Submitting visual design concepts for brainstorming and approval in a timely manner.
  • Meeting with the business team for feedback and editing designs, when required.
  • Collaborating with developers in aligning visual designs with PowerBI functionalities.
  • Keeping track of advancements in visual design technologies and applications, as well as industry trends.

  • Bachelor's or associate degree in graphic design, visual arts, or similar.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in data visualization, ideally 4-5+ years.
  • Extensive experience in determining visual design preferences and meeting deadlines.
  • Exceptional ability to collaborate on visual design projects and integrate feedback.
  • Have basic Power BI knowledge so they can work together with developers.
  • Creative vision, a passion for learning and willingness to adopt and share new ideas.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent visual, written, and verbal communication skills, along with presentation and negotiation skills.
