Team Description; Role function on team:

This open position is for a Director for the Compliance Data Governance function for Financial Crimes (Transaction Monitoring and Risk Assessment). This leader will be responsible for the relationship with and between Compliance leadership, Data Officers for LOBs producing data in-scope of Compliance functions, Global Operations and Technology functions who support Compliance and the Enterprise Data Management organization. This leader will ensure that Compliance data meets or exceeds standards set by bank policy within the scope as defined by the Enterprise Data Management Policy. Represents Compliance on enterprise data forums and connects data back to the Compliance Leadership, advising and planning for actions to ensure Compliance maintains sustained data capabilities and is prepared for managing change that impacts Compliance data requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Design and produce information at line of business, legal entity and enterprise levels according to senior risk management, policy and regulatory requirements and expectations. Determine appropriate inputs, presentation design, delivery media and process to produce timely, accurate and complete reports and accompanying data analysis
  • Write summaries in non-technical terms suitable for consumption within senior risk and compliance committees
  • Assist with the senior management and regulatory inquiries
  • Understand and execute continuous improvement model(s) to achieve operational excellence
  • Primarily responsible for the accuracy and quality of own work and the work of assigned and/or less experienced project team members. Work contributes to the achievement of area goals
  • The ideal candidate will have a robust background with several or all of the following qualities: a comprehensive understanding risks and controls; demonstrate excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills; able to work closely with various business / functions and build relationships at all levels; Pro-active, with high quality standards for accuracy and thoroughness; Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment; Strong organizational skills and a keen aptitude for detail with a globalized team
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel; Superior analytical skills and ability to assess across large data sets to synthesize, validate, and analyze data and metrics; Project management experience with excellent analytical/problem solving skills
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, mathematics-related, or technical discipline is required
  • Minimum of 7 years of total work experience is required
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in enterprise data, data management, date quality, technology, or a related function is required
  • Financial Services experience is required
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA, MPA, or a graduate degree in business, economics, mathematics-related, or technical discipline is preferred
  • 10 years or more of total work experience is preferred
  • Financial Crimes experience is highly preferred
  • Change Management experience is highly preferred
