VP, Portfolio Manager (Cross-Border)

Role Description

You will be responsible for leading and managing the portfolios of overseas market fixed income investments and onshore FX instruments. You should conduct in-depth research on global markets to support cross-border allocation decisions. The role also includes collaborating with internal and external stakeholders on market opportunities and driving cross-border business in dynamic regulatory environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for the portfolio construction and optimization, mainly covering overseas market fixed income investments and onshore FX instruments.
• Work with multiple internal teams to build out a robust portfolio management investment process and best practice
• Conduct in-depth analysis on global markets, to provide market insights and investment opinions and support the team to identify investment opportunities
• Build close relationships and communications with shareholder and other institutions to drive the development of new investment strategies and instruments, including FX instruments.
• Collaborate with client business team in product roadshows and client trainings

Skills and Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree, CFA, and/or similar professional qualification preferred.
• 8+ years' experience in China onshore or offshore asset management company, with hands-on experience in cross-border portfolio or FX-denominated products/funds management. Background from bank WM subsidiaries is a plus.
• Deep knowledge of global markets, credit analysis, and trading tools. Experience with derivatives and FX trading is preferred.
• Ability to streamline portfolio construction, execution, and monitor workflows. Proactive problem-solver with a track record of delivering results in a complex environment
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
