About This Role:

As the Value & Access Country Lead at Biogen, you will spearhead the optimization of patient access to our current and upcoming products, establishing local market access strategies and tools that harmonize with global and regional strategies. Your pivotal role extends to managing national stakeholders, securing product access, and cultivating Biogen's image as a significant stakeholder and a socially responsible corporate entity. Embracing an influential position, you will also serve as the Nordic & Baltic expert in either PPG, HTA, or Policy development. 
 

What You’ll Do

  • Strategic Planning and Execution: You will be responsible for devising and executing affiliate market access strategies and tactics as a part of Integrated Product Plans. This includes driving Pricing & Reimbursement, innovative tender management, and solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Crafting and executing stakeholder plans to align Biogen's goals with shaping the health care policy environment will be a core responsibility. Developing reimbursement dossiers, responses to assessments, and adapting health economic models to local needs will be crucial.
  • Market Access Collaboration: Working extensively with cross-functional teams, you will drive market access tools, studies, and reports to bolster patient access and well-being. This involves close collaboration with commercial and medical teams as well as active participation in product teams.
  • Representation and Expertise: Your role extends to representing Biogen in local market access-related policy and trade association activities to influence healthcare environment reforms. You will be the go-to expert for the Nordic & Baltic region, both regionally and globally.
  • Innovative Product Strategies: Developing market access tools such as presentations and budget impact models for designated products will support affiliate staff meetings, showcasing the added value of our offerings to decision-making bodies.

Who You Are

As an ideal candidate, you bring a strong technical understanding of pricing, reimbursement, and access in Sweden, bolstered by demonstrated experience in market access, health economics, and public affairs. Your passion for pioneering affiliate market access strategies and making a tangible difference in patients' lives is the driving force behind your commitment.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher in a science/analytical field or healthcare profession, preferably within Health Economics/Outcomes Research.
  • Minimum 10 years of biotech/pharmaceutical experience in Market Access and Medical roles.
  • Comprehensive understanding and experience in market access functions, including pricing and reimbursement processes, health economics/outcomes research, and management of tender processes.
  • Specific knowledge of the country's healthcare systems and life science experience is mandatory.
  • A strong network with country KMEs and decision-makers in MS and NMD is crucial, along with the ability to build strong networks in future relevant therapeutic areas.
  • Strategic and tactical agility, coupled with a commercial attitude and business acumen.
  • Proactive, with excellent planning, organizational, analytical, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in interpreting medical/clinical/scientific data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to create stakeholder trust at various levels in the healthcare system.
  • Fluency in the local language and English.
