(Sr) Medical Manager, Rare Diseases (f/m/d)
About This Role:
The (Sr) Medical Manager, Rare Diseases (f/m/d) is a key medical and scientific expert for both internal and external stakeholders in various Therapeutic Areas, including Rare Diseases. The incumbent will be responsible for defining medical strategies, supporting new product launches and managing projects throughout the full product lifecycle. She/he will stay updated on scientific data, share expertise and communicate complex scientific information to various internal and external stakeholders and healthcare professionals. Additionally, the incumbent will ensure the implementation of educational projects and compliance with all relevant regulations.

What You'll Do:
- Demonstrate clear understanding of our therapeutic areas and products, facilitating scientific exchanges and innovative medical/scientific projects with Key Medical Experts (KMEs)
- Develop local medical strategies and tactics for respective TAs and pipeline aligned with the global/regional strategies in cross- functional collaboration
- Define, implement, and manage medical projects, including supporting national clinical trials (IIRs, CRs, ESR, CSTs)
- Be the main contact for potential patient support programs in TA
- Provide internal and external product trainings
- Develop and discuss medical material as well as medical communication strategy
- Prepare, manage, and provide medical information that is timely, accurate and balanced, including, but not limited to, medical letters, slide kits, posters, publications
- Be updated and accurate for medical reviews, share scientific expertise on data and all material related to assigned TAs to be used/shared/disseminated with external stakeholders, including commercial, regulatory affairs, market access, corporate affairs
- Closely collaborates with ICoE/Global Medical to share best practices and experience from a local level and raise potential needs
- Provide medical input and support into Regulatory Affairs, Value and Access, and Marketing strategies
- Attend and share insights from national and international congresses
- Conduct/attend/present at Educational Events/Advisory Boards initiated by the affiliate based on a clear need for specific medical input
- Organize and conduct medical education events for different stakeholders including nurses
Who You Are:
The ideal candidate for this role should be a highly knowledgeable and strategic medical expert with a deep understanding of relevant therapeutic areas and products. She / he needs to be used to managing projects, budgets, and cross-functional collaborations while staying updated on scientific data and innovations. Strong communication skills are essential for effectively sharing complex medical information and engaging with Key Medical Experts and other stakeholders. Additionally, they should be proactive in proposing new initiatives and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Required Skills:
- Master to doctorate degree in a life-science or basic-science discipline (Pharm.D., D.Sc., Master, Ph.D., or M.D.) or medical/technical scientific training background combined with an experience of more than 5-7 years in pharmaceutical industry and/or in Medical affairs
- At least 5-7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with a focus on specialty care, particularly in Neuroscience and/or in orphan diseases (e.g., Medical Affairs, Clinical Research)
- Prior experience in Neurology is strongly preferred, experience in Immunology is a plus
- Proven competence in developing strategies and improving capabilities
- Superior project management experience including demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional project teams
- Strong scientific understanding and ability to communicate complex scientific data and topics
- Proactive in proposing innovative projects based on customer/patients needs
- Thorough understanding of internal/external ethical guidelines relevant to the pharmaceutical industry
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Fluent in German and English
Minimum annual gross salary of 75.000,00 €, depending on qualification and experience willingness to overpay.
