Senior PV Scientist Operations and Outsourcing Oversight Lead
About This Role:
As the Senior PV Scientist, Operations and Outsourcing Oversight Lead, you will play a crucial role within the Safety Surveillance and Aggregate Reports (SSA) team, overseeing vendor management and operational activities. You will be responsible for ensuring the effective governance and compliance of SSA vendors through detailed monitoring and corrective actions. Acting as a subject matter expert, you will lead audit and inspection readiness for various vendors and manage key operational activities. Your contributions will significantly impact the efficiency and strategic success of the SSA team, as you collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and maintain high-quality standards. This role is essential to ensuring smooth operations and compliance within the business structure, ultimately contributing to the broader objectives of the organization.
What You'll Do:
- Execute vendor management, governance, and oversight activities to ensure compliance and implement effective corrective actions.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in audit and inspection readiness for vendors.
- Engage with multiple vendors to manage literature, external database mining, signal detection, and aggregate reports.
- Maintain oversight of Scope of Work and associated documents, ensuring smooth contract execution.
- Facilitate contract execution and collaborate with relevant stakeholders.
- Track contracts and purchase orders, monitoring for compliance and implementing strategies for corrective actions.
- Manage day-to-day financial reporting, tracking needs, and invoice approvals.
- Collaborate with SSA and Finance leaders to clarify financial responsibilities and track budgets.
- Ensure operational models meet strategic key performance indicators.
- Lead or support project management initiatives within the SSA team.
- Drive cross-functional process improvements and coordinate training for compliance with revised processes.

Required Skills:
- At least 7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry focused on vendor management and outsourcing.
- Proficiency in vendor contract negotiation and execution.
- Bachelor's Degree in biologic or natural science, or health care discipline; advanced degree (PhD, MPH, NP, PharmD, etc.) required.
- Strong leadership and oversight abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work proactively and independently.
- Excellent people and customer service skills.

Additional Information
The base compensation range for this role is: $131,000.00-$175,000.00
Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
