Medical Trainee (f/m/d)
About This Role:
The medical trainee program (MTFT) intends to attract qualified young professionals (e.g. MD, MSc, Pharmacists or PhD in natural or life sciences) from academia, CROs, medical centers or comparable institutions that seek a career in pharma industry. It's a 24-month program comprising rotations in the various teams within the medical affairs department. In coordination with the manager, the trainee is accountable for supporting projects and assisting in daily business of the teams, e.g. workshops, process optimization workstreams, financial reporting, medical advisory boards, publications, congress reports, slide decks etc.. Main role of the trainee in the organization is to gain experience and perspective in varied aspects of Medical Affairs..

What You'll Do:
- General
4 rotations (6 months/rotation) in the different teams within the Medical Affairs department: Medical Operations/Governance/CES, Medical Lifecycle Management/Education/Services, Medical Alzheimer's Disease (AD), Medical Rare Diseases (RD)
- Medical Operations, Governance, CES
Project support of on-going projects and workstreams, details to be determined at beginning of trainee program and on an as-need-basis depending on current business needs and strengths of trainee. Areas of focus might be:
- Support material lifecycle management process and QMS activities
- Maintenance and improvement of processes, SOPs and other relevant process related documents
- Support of audit and monitoring activities and remediations
- Provide project support for cross-functional medical projects
- Act as trusted partner and share best practices
- Medical LCM / AD / RD
Project support of on-going projects and workstreams, details to be determined prior to starting rotation based on current business needs and strengths of trainee, e.g.:
- Consolidate congress data and provide consolidated slide decks
- Clinical Studies: support drafting of phase IV study protocols and other documents
- Support development of poster publications for congresses
- Support answering medical information requests
- MSL support: can potentially include tandem visits with MSLs, medical communication with HCPs, speaker support; scientific exchange via different channels (F2F, virtual, calls, email) or medical education meetings with KMEs/external experts
- Education: participate in medical trainings, communication trainings and medical meetings to gain perspective an in-depth knowledge of Biogen's products
Who You Are:

Required Skills:
- Master degree/PhD (natural or life sciences, engeneering), MD, Pharmacy degree
- Entry level job, no experience within pharma industry required
- Strong affinity for IT, technology and systems
- Strong interpersonal, communications and presentation skills.
- Self-starter and highly self-motivated personality.
- Can-do spirit and hands-on execution mentality.
- Strong team orientation
- Fluent level in German and English
