About This Role
In the role of Manager - R&D Business Planning, you will play a pivotal role in providing essential financial support for our clinical pipeline at both the program and study/trial levels. Collaborating closely with our Global Clinical Operations (GCO) team and R&D functional stakeholders, you will support comprehensive study planning, including clinical trial costing, long-range planning, annual planning, and continuous reforecasting. You will also engage with external vendors to establish and manage financial forecasts. This position is integral in offering financial insight into the Clinical Development Plan (CDP) and generating study cost estimates to optimize capital allocation. Opportunities for future career growth include R&D program-level financial ownership, strategic financial planning, supporting business development prospects, and presenting to upper-level management.

What You'll Do
- Manage forecasting needs for clinical assets with alignment across several key business stakeholders.
- Utilize appropriate analytics and benchmarks to produce an accurate, quality study model that is updated regularly.
- Responsible for meeting all corporate timelines and processes associated with forecasts, including AOP, LRP, and quarterly interim reports.
- Analyze historical spend and propose solutions for cost containment, identifying financial inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain constant fiscal vigilance on program spend and trends, supporting business planning partners where necessary.
- Serve as a key financial partner to study teams and Global Clinical Operations partners.
Who You Are
You are passionate about finance with a keen interest in biopharma and the drug development process. You thrive in collaborative environments, working with multifunctional teams, and serve as the "go to" representative for Finance. Challenges intrigue you, and you're eager to develop a robust FP&A skillset. Your independent, out-of-the-box thinking is coupled with a meticulous attention to detail, balanced by an ability to maintain an "80/20" mindset.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of work experience in finance.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Hyperion/Essbase experience a must.
- BS/BA required.
Preferred Skills
- Biotech, Pharma, and/or drug development experience preferred.

Additional Information
The base compensation range for this role is: $106,000.00-$142,000.00
Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
