Director, Reporting

As Director of Reporting, you will lead the development and execution of performance measurement frameworks, ensuring timely, accurate, and actionable reporting to support senior leadership and commercial teams. This role will lead the design, development, and delivery of high-impact commercial reporting and analytics solutions that drive performance across Sales, Marketing, Market Access, and Patient Services and own the commercial reporting strategy, ensuring stakeholder alignment, and elevate the organization's decision-making through timely, accurate, and actionable insights.

This role will work closely with senior business stakeholders in commercial functions such as Brand, Insights & Analytics, Field Operations, Marketing and Patient Services, act as a strategic partner and drive performance tracking and reporting for commercial performance, including field execution and performance, omnichannel engagement activities, executive dashboard. This role will also lead the efforts in standardizing and centralizing the commercial reporting eco-system and help implement industry best practices in performance reporting and insights generation processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and drive the commercial reporting strategy aligned to business objectives, product life cycles, and brand priorities.
- Provide thought partnership in building and standardizing commercial reporting eco-system to enable cross-TA ad TA specific reporting
- Act as a strategic partner to frame, investigate, and answer key business questions related to organization-wide performance reporting, including executive reporting!
- Lead and mentor a team of reporting analysts and data specialists, fostering a high-performance, insights-driven culture.
- Build and evolve scalable, self-service reporting platforms and dashboards to enable real-time decision-making.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Insights & Analytics, Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Field Operations, Finance, and IT to translate business needs into robust reporting solutions.
- Ensure data integrity and consistency across all reporting assets by implementing governance standards and quality controls.
- Develop and deliver executive-level reports and insights to track KPIs, sales performance, ROI on promotional spending, and field force effectiveness.
- Oversee vendor relationships related to reporting and BI tools; manage outsourced reporting solutions where applicable.
- Advance reporting capabilities by leveraging new technologies (e.g., Power BI, Snowflake, Veeva) and fostering data literacy across the organization.
- Support product launches and business-critical initiatives with rapid, accurate data and reporting solutions.
- Connect reporting insights together to tell a compelling and persuasive story and deliver clear and actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
- Ensure compliance with internal SOPs, data privacy (e.g., HIPAA), and external regulatory guidelines.
Who You are:
You bring deep expertise in commercial reporting and analytics within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry. You excel at translating complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders across marketing, sales, and leadership teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Analytics, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred)
- 8-10+ years of experience in commercial reporting, analytics, or operations within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry
- Proven leadership experience, with a track record of building and managing high-performing reporting teams.
- Strong understanding of sales force operations, incentive compensation, targeting, field engagement, and brand analytics
- Ability to influence senior leadership with data-driven storytelling and clear communication.
- Direct workload of flexible resources
- Be accountable for continuous improvement and identification/utilization of new capabilities to maximize the competitive advantages of the business.

Additional Information
The base compensation range for this role is: $195,000.00-$269,000.00
Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
