Job Description Summary:

This job is responsible for driving and executing on internal control discipline and operational excellence within a Line of Business (LOB) or Enterprise Control Function (ECF). Key responsibilities include providing analytical and administrative support for LOB or ECF specific processes and tools to drive adherence to enterprise-wide standards. Job expectations include monitoring and testing controls and implementing quality assurance and quality control processes within the LOB or ECF by evaluating data to help identify, track, and report issues and control improvements for remediation.

Seeking a strong individual contributor to deliver program- and project-level reporting of Bank of America's portfolio of technology initiatives and perform analytics aimed at providing senior leadership with actionable insights.

Bank of America continues to invest several billion dollars per year to develop new technology solutions and enhance existing technology capabilities that will enable the bank's 8 lines of business strategies. In this important role, the candidate will support and work closely with the Strategy & Initiative Planning Executive to manage the health of this technology initiative portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Producing and delivering monthly portfolio health reporting to Global Technology senior leadership
  • Creating ad-hoc reports and analyses of the technology initiative portfolio to identify insights into the overall health the portfolio and underlying themes including programs and projects that may b underperforming, trending negatively, or facing risks
  • Reviewing data from project management and financial systems of record in detail and driving improvement in underlying data quality to improve the value of reporting that is delivered to senior management
  • Driving Operational Excellence by continuously improving process to drive consistency, reduce manual effort, enable flexibility to meet changing stakeholder requirements
  • Acting as back-up to other team members and ensure business continuity of the key portfolio health reports in addition to other Initiative Planning and reporting key deliverables
  • Use data to support broader Strategy and Initiative Planning needs across Global Technology

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience working with and managing data and developing intuitive reports and analytics for senior-level audiences
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Excel including advanced formulas, structured tables, pivot tables, functions, charting and power query connecting to external data sources or working with data extracts
  • Proficiency working with Microsoft PowerPoint and Word
  • Incredible attention to detail and accuracy given the executive users of the reports produced
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines and prioritize requests and workload accordingly
  • Ability to operate independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Proclivity to continuous learning and application of new skills to further advance reporting capabilities

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience using initiative planning systems at the bank including (such as TPAS, ETSI, PPRT, TechADS and others)
  • Experience using data tools including Power Query, Alteryx, Tableau or other similar reporting or business intelligence software
  • Conceptual understanding of technology components and systems
  • Ability to think strategically and identify connections between immediate responsibilities and opportunity for broader impact across Global Technology
