Job Description:

The Equity Derivatives business is looking to hire a Convertible Bond Trader to join the team in Hong Kong. Ideal candidates will have relevant experience in CB trading desk and able to demonstrate strong quantitative skills and solid product knowledge.

Responsibilities:

• The role is responsible for managing risk and developing trading activities with limited direction from senior staff. Daily responsibilities will include pricing, hedging, trading, booking, reporting risk and P&L.
• Proactively maintaining and building client relationships, supporting clients with buying and selling financial products, and implementing trading strategies to achieve revenue goals.
• Having in-depth knowledge of risk management, hedging, and trading strategies as well as market characteristics.
• Partners with sales teams to help the bank's clients execute trading activities, while sharing knowledge of the current market environment.
• Performs trading activities in compliance with regulations, industry standards, and other requirements and ensures trading orders are executed with the highest degree of accuracy and time efficiency.
• Assigns accounts to pre-defined trading models and administers trades based on product guidelines.
• Operates as a market maker, buying and selling financial instruments in accordance with established trading strategies and risk parameters.

• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in convertible bond trading.
• Solid knowledge and understanding of equities products, markets dynamics and risk management.
• Strong analytical and data skills.
• Aptitude to work well under fast paced environment.
