Analyst/Associate, Networking and Cybersecurity Equity Research

Job Description:

The position is for an analyst/associate in the Networking and Cybersecurity Equity Research team. The ideal candidate possesses 2-4 years of experience in sell-side Technology research. The candidate should possess some familiarity with financial statements and have a passion for following the stock market. The candidate will work alongside Senior Analysts and Associates in all aspects of the research process, from idea generation to corporate and client communication, including but not limited to the following:

  • Write industry and company reports and company stock coverage initiations
  • Build financial models including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements to provide a quantitative basis for analyzing stock valuations
  • Demonstrate industry knowledge
  • Build relationships and facilitate information flow with contacts at covered companies
  • Seek out new, value-added and/or unusual sources of information
  • Have ability to monitor news flow, analyze data and highlight stock-impacting updates when Senior Analyst is traveling
  • Develop surveys and conduct interviews to understand new product/service potential, market dynamics, and current and future product/service demand
  • Interact regularly with sales, trading and external clients

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's Degree (advanced degree or industry is a plus but not required)
  • Ideal candidate would have min years of experience in equity research, buy side experience, investment banking or industry/consulting experience, perferred
  • Strong writing and financial modeling skills
  • Must enjoy following the stock market and doing desktop and field research
  • Academic background in a specific field requirement (e.g., Healthcare, Technology, Consumer, Financials, Industrials)
  • Excellent communications skills, written and verbal
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task

Pay and benefits information

Pay range

$70,000.00 - $175,000.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
