The Technology, Avanade X, and Advisory Business Groups (BG) are Avanade's growth engines responsible for developing market relevant capabilities and solutions to help clients resolve critical business and technology issues. Through practices they provide sales, solutioning and delivery support to Client Groups and Accounts to help us win and sustain long-lasting relationships with our clients. In addition to direct relationships with clients, each Business Group works closely with Avanade's most significant partners - Microsoft and Accenture, as well as other alliances - to drive growth of the business group and the Practices therein.

As a Director in Digital Enterprise Advisory, you play a significant role in the achievement of our business objectives, regularly provide expert advice to senior clients, champion advisory across our organisation, ensure our delivery quality and support the strategic management of the Digital Enterprise Advisory Practice.

You report into the UKI Digital Enterprise Advisory Practice Lead and support them in ensuring the Practice has the right capabilities to seize market advantage and deliver client work today and tomorrow. You contribute to driving business growth, supporting sales development and conversion, solutioning and delivery, and practice strategy, in addition to people, capability, and community development.

What you'll do

* Strategic Advisory: Provide strategic advice to clients on digital transformation initiatives including but not limited to digital strategy development, innovation design, benefits realisation, business process re-engineering, customer-led transformation, experience strategy and Data, Analytics & AI Advisory
* Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients at the C-level or equivalent levels, understanding their complex and multi-faceted business, operational and technology needs and challenges, and providing tailored digital solutions.
* As an advisor operating within blended teams, you drive and inspire consideration and collaboration.
* Delivery Excellence: Lead complex client engagements and ensure our standards of quality throughout delivery; provide SME guidance to project teams for large scale, strategically critical work efforts
* Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the Digital Advisory team using a variety of learning & development techniques; act as a role model and exhibits our values and habits fostering a culture of growth mindset and innovation; act as a Career Advisory where you guide more junior colleagues in the formulation of strategies to meet business and career objectives.
* Business Development: contribute to the growth of the digital advisory practice by identifying new business opportunities and defining clear Digital Enterprise Advisory value offerings focused on Client First; able to define proposals leveraging the collective value across Avanade and partners to illustrate innovative thinking and achievements in the benefit of client outcomes; build and leverage strong relationship with the wider Avanade BGs in the UKI region
* Thought Leadership: Stay abreast of digital trends and technologies, and contribute to thought leadership in the field of outcome-led digital transformation. You set direction for building and evolving capabilities and solution offering in line with market and client needs.

Skills and experiences

Leadership skills

* Distinctive track record of both selling and delivering bespoke advisory services within a large scale, complex, and relationship-driven environment.
* Strong business acumen with ability to develop and execute a strategic plan to drive growth in the region and have management consulting experience.
* Experience in leading teams, driving employee engagement, strengthening inclusion and diversity, and directing the work of others in a matrixed environment to achieve a common goal.
* Strong communication and influencing skills, client presence and focus, and the ability to influence executive stakeholders and clients

Business Development skills

* Must be able to leverage Avanade's typically technology-oriented business development team to collaborate on origination (a 'do it yourself' approach to selling will not work).
* Adept at both selling projects to existing clients as well as building new client relationships.
* You must bring the ability to frame client business objectives for mid-market enterprises and be able to develop an approach/roadmap to address these through Avanade's Advisory Services.

Advisory and Consulting skills

* Ability to bring clarity to complex business challenges and set a compelling direction for the business and innovative strategies to address customer needs
* Ability to convert strategic direction into operational goals, interpret complex information, carry out service redesign and/or manage a significant business segment of a complex organization.
* Advanced analytical skills in analysing, disseminating and interpreting business models and financial reporting to advise clients on the challenges and opportunities that arise from market or customer-related digital disruption
* Ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills across highly complex problems, often requiring analysis of near-intangible factors, creative solutioning and significant networking.
* Demonstrated thought leadership internally (ideally externally as well) in digital transformations and how technology and data can unlock business benefits and enable people impact.
* Ideally, possess a high degree of fluency with Microsoft, having sold and delivered custom-tailored consulting solutions tied to this platform. Industry expertise
* Depth of knowledge in 1-3+ industries, ideally in Financial Services with focus on Cap markets, M&A
