Position Overview

The Technical Sales Specialist focuses on Autodesk's Construction Business within the Barcelona Inside Sales Hub. This role is to focus primarily on the Northern Europe Construction Business.

The Inside Technical Sales Specialist is responsible for partnering with our Inside Sales Team on sales opportunities and campaigns to drive revenue growth. The Technical Specialist uses in-depth industry and software knowledge to both enable our inside sales teams and to uncover customer business issues and suggest improvements, thus earning status as a trusted advisor.

The Technical Specialist provides remote demonstration of Autodesk Solutions to inform the customer so they can make a purchasing decision.

Responsibilities

• Takes ownership of technical sales opportunities

• Investigates, uncovers and understands a customer's business issues

• Proposes options for improvement or resolution of customer business issues and relates those solutions directly to the customer' business goals/issues

• Performs analysis and leads discovery of adjacent opportunities within an account

• Maintains and grows respected, trusted advisor relationships with customers and members of the Autodesk inside sales team involved with the opportunity

• Engages in strategic account planning with the inside sales representative throughout the sales process

• Communicates product features and benefits in pre-sales situations. Presents Autodesk solutions to prospective customers in the form of remote presentations

• Delivers assets such as PowerPoints, Videos, Datasets that can be used for marketing campaigns and sales opportunities

• Delivers webinars to support marketing campaigns for 1:many audiences

• Coordinate with the wider Technical Sales Team to support sales opportunities

• Provides online reactive support to pre-sales questions from inside sales representatives

• Where required, supports events to train Autodesk resellers or customers

• Provides feedback and communicates market requirements to the Autodesk product development team

• A Technical Specialist will become an expert in spreading the product message as a product evangelist. The TS will convey a positive message to accounts and individuals who are looking for a solution but may not know which product will fit their needs the best

Minimum Qualifications

• Technical knowledge of using one or more of the following applications: Revit, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Navisworks, 3ds Max, BIM 360 portfolio

• Good understanding of Building Information Modelling workflow processes

• Must be willing to become an expert in the use of Autodesk solutions for Building Information Modelling across multiple disciplines

• Demonstrated ability to work in a team of technical, marketing and sales people

• Demonstrated initiative and ability to drive decisions and get closure on recommendations and issues

• Excellent communication and presentation and group facilitation skills

• Available to travel occasionally for group events primarily in Europe or U.S

• Energetic, dynamic and enthusiastic personality

• Fluent English and another Northern European language( Nordics, Dutch, German)

Preferred Qualifications

• Further Education Qualification or Degree related to Building Design or Construction Industry Experience

• Previous experience of technical sales desirable however we are willing to consider individuals from a non-sales background
