Position Overview

Autodesk is seeking a passionate and motivated Engineering Manager to join our Construction Cloud Admin group as lead of the Product Enablement team. The Admin group is responsible for enabling account provisioning and setting; user access and permissions; project lifecycle management; and information sharing with partner firms. The Product Enablement team is responsible for onboarding new products and offerings to the Construction Cloud and providing users the tools to manage subscriptions and third-party application integrations. You will be responsible for building and leading a full stack team to develop modern experiences with performant, highly available, and resilient services that scale with the growing demand.

The ideal candidate has previously worked on teams that develop modern web and platform experiences that leverage Cloud-native services in a fast-paced, agile environment. You will have experience leading engineers to deliver complicated projects within expected time frames. You will know how to build and guide highly effective and high-performing teams and inspire them to remain at the cutting edge of the fastest-growing technology stack. You will excel at being a mentor and coach to engineers at all points of their career journey.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse engineering team of backend and web developers
  • Create a vision and technical strategy to drive impactful business outcomes
  • Collaborate closely with your Product and Design counterparts to define the roadmap for the team, understand product and business requirements as a foundation for making technical decisions
  • Plan, execute, and ensure the success of complex technical projects
  • Be a technical leader that guides the implementation of individual components and features with an emphasis on producing high quality, reusable software through use of test-driven development and other sound software engineering practices
  • Collaborate with other product teams across ACS to ensure commitments are met
  • Drive process & culture improvements within your team to maintain a high standard of code quality by promoting team best practices around testing, code reviews, and design patterns
  • Recruit and develop team members, guiding their personal and professional growth through participation in software design reviews and code reviews, as well as through performance coaching and direct feedback
  • Foster a positive team environment that combines experimentation, continuous improvement, debate, collaboration, honesty, and a strong focus on results

Minimum Qualifications

  • BE/BS degree in a technical field
  • 8+ years of software engineering experience
  • 2+ years of technical leadership experience on medium to large scale projects
  • Strong knowledge of cloud service platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Strong experience in technologies such as relational databases, Python, and NodeJS.
  • Experience with scrum and agile development processes and methodologies
  • Proactive, quick decision maker with excellent communication and written skills
  • Proven ability to manage and resolve complex and ambiguous issues
  • Ability to lead technical architecture discussions and help drive technical decision making
