The SDET team is an important part of the feature development process. We collaborate with our engineers, product managers and designers to help ship features faster and with utmost quality to our customers. As we speed up our product development, we are looking for an accomplished Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) who can help advocate for our customer's experiences, increase the velocity of our product and engineering teams, and instill best practices in functional and automation testing.

Responsibilities

  • You will develop all manual test plans, automated tests, tooling, and integration with product development for a specific business area of the application
  • Will document, and prioritize bugs across the application. Ensure partners are kept informed across different teams. Lead the scrum teams in bug bashes before feature release
  • You will perform functional testing of our features in an Agile development environment with shorter sprint cycles
  • Identify automatable scenarios and design automation tests to support faster release of code in a continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) environment
  • Perform peer review of automation tests and suggest ways to improve code quality and automation test coverage

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar technical field
  • Proficiency in at least one of the programming languages - Java, JavaScript, Python, C++ etc.
  • Deep hands-on expertise in writing optimized automation code using any of the automation frameworks such as Cypress.io, Playwright, Jest, Selenium, appium
  • Experience in git-based repositories like GitHub or GitLab to manage and review code
  • 5+ years of experience integrating automation test frameworks with CI/CD infrastructure such as CircleCI or Jenkins to run automation jobs in CI environment
  • 5+ years of experience building scalable testing infrastructure to run automation tests in parallel environments for efficient execution

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $119,700 and $193,600. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
