Position overview

We are looking for an experienced Principal ServiceNow Engineer (FedRAMP) with deep expertise in IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), Asset Management, and custom application development utilizing 3rd party API integrations. Expert knowledge in CMDB, Service Taxonomy and DevOps Integration with ServiceNow. You'll play a critical role in developing and enhancing ServiceNow solutions that align with our enterprise service strategy. Experience working in FEDRAMP-compliant environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement solutions in ServiceNow focusing on ITSM, ITOM, and Custom Application modules
  • Customize workflows, business rules, client scripts, UI actions, and catalog items to meet business needs
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions
  • Develop and support integrations using REST, SOAP, and MID Servers
  • Configure and maintain Event Management integrations, and CMDB
  • Implement custom modules or enhancements for IT Asset Management (ITAM), Software Asset Management (SAM),
  • Ensure platform scalability, performance, and adherence to security/compliance standards, including FEDRAMP (where applicable)
  • Provide best practices guidance, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior developers
  • Support ServiceNow upgrades, patching, and instance cloning
  • Conduct Design / Code reviews and advice on best practice methodologies
  • Proactively identify system deficiencies in the ServiceNow platform and recommend solutions as a trusted advisor
  • Experienced in requirement gathering, eliciting, documenting and drive technical implementation for various business units
  • Implement and customize application modules within ServiceNow to meet business requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in ServiceNow development and implementation
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow scripting and development (JavaScript, GlideScript, HTML, CSS)
  • Experience with ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, Custom Apps, App engine
  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow integration capabilities (REST, SOAP, MID Server)
  • Ability to design and implement complex workflows and automation processes
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Exposure to DevOps technologies

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $141,400 and $228,800. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
