Position Overview:

Audit and Advisory Services (A&AS) is a diverse group of finance professionals who are engaging and passionate about what they do. Among our main responsibilities, A&AS manages the SOX, Internal Audit, Advisory, Enterprise Risk Management, and Business Resiliency programs within Autodesk. Join us, and you will work closely with stakeholders across the company, including Finance, Security, Engineering, and Business Unit management.

In this dynamic, fast-paced, and hands-on role, you will manage all aspects of the technology related components of the SOX Program, including planning, risk assessments, scoping, walkthroughs, and testing. You will be relied upon to assess technology risks before the rollout of new projects and will liaise with team members within Finance and Engineering organizations. You will evaluate the business processes, applications and infrastructure that are in scope of the SOX program. You will identify and drive internal initiatives to improve audit processes, program coverage, and increase testing efficiency.

You will report to the Sr. Manager, IT Audit and this position can be hybrid or fully remote within the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • You will act as a leader in all aspects of our SOX program relating to IT general and applications controls, including annual and ongoing risk assessments, facilitation of walkthroughs and the documentation and testing of applicable controls
  • Partner with A&AS's advisory function, partners and engineering teams to identify relevant risks for changing business models and acquisitions and drive the required changes to the IT control environment
  • Partner with engineering teams to onboard, document and test new IT general and application controls
  • Collaborate directly with the External Auditors on the scoping and execution of all IT components of the SOX program, including the evolution of compliance requirements based on PCAOB or firm mandates
  • Drive initiatives to improve the SOX program and promote efficiencies, improving governance and structure for audit processes and deliverables
  • 5 or more years of experience in public accounting, SOX and internal controls, internal auditing, external auditing, operational and process improvement
  • Apply internal auditing practices to the risk assessment of financial and IT controls, design of controls and test plans, testing of operational effectiveness, process documentation, and flowcharting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to simplify and communicate technology concepts to a variety of audiences
  • Technical fluency in cloud computing and being able to understand and discuss systems architecture concepts
  • Self-motivated, proactive and a passionate learner who is interested in expanding information technology knowledge and skills
  • Understanding of the requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, Section 404, PCAOB Standards, SEC reporting requirements, Generally Accepted Auditing Standards, and other applicable professional guidance
  • Experience with SAP, cloud computing infrastructure, Software Development Lifecycle, REST APIs and microservices
  • Experience with the SaaS companies, international organizations, and within a rapidly changing technology landscape.
  • Certifications such CISA, GIAC, and CISP. If you do not hold a CISA certification, you will be encouraged to obtain it within a year from hiring.

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $103,000 and $166,540. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
