Electrical Controls Engineer

Warminster, PA

ATS Scientific Products is seeking a highly skilled Controls Engineer to join our team.

This remote position, based in the Raleigh-Durham area, entails significant travel (40-50% of the time) to our Warminster, PA facility and various customer sites. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and validate control systems for pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, adhering to GAMP guidelines and regulatory
  • requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and customers to understand project requirements and develop appropriate solutions.
  • Perform system integration, testing, and troubleshooting, both remotely and
  • onsite.
  • Provide technical support and training to customers on installed control
  • systems.
  • Travel to Scientific Products facilities and customer sites for project installations, commissioning, and ongoing support.
  • Independently manage assigned projects and deliverables, ensuring timely completion and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including software change requests, IO lists, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in control system technologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
  • Extensive experience in programming and configuring Allen Bradley PLCs,
  • FactoryTalk View ME, SCADA systems, servo motors and drives, and VFDs.
  • Strong understanding of control system design principles and methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (40-50%) to customer sites nationwide.
  • Self-starter mentality with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Additional Information

  • The successful candidate will initially work full-time at a customer site in the Raleigh-
  • Durham area to complete a project expected to last until the end of January 2025.
  • Following this project, the candidate will continue to work on various ATS Scientific
  • Products controls projects, with occasional travel required to our Warminster, PA
  • facility or other customer sites needing SP controls support.
