Manager, RCM Transformation

Position Summary: The RCM Transformation Manager plays a key role in optimizing and modernizing revenue cycle performance across the organization. This role focuses on supporting key initiatives and projects to enable automation, process re-engineering and cross-functional collaboration resulting in RCM efficiency, quality, and financial performance. This role will support the VP, Transformation Office to translate transformation initiatives and outcomes into executive level, RCM leadership and customer facing materials and documentation. In addition to supporting the development of customer facing materials and documentation, this role is expected to support key internal and external communication forums by partnering with stakeholders to produce expected deliverables.  This role is expected to interface with RCM leaders, Product Lines, Customer Service, BPO Operations, AHI and other internal stakeholders across the organization to drive scalable transformation across the revenue cycle.

Essential Functions (Duties and Responsibilities):

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • In partnership with the VP and key leaders within Business Transformation and Operations, the manager will help identify business challenges/problem areas and support projects and solutions
  • Support delivery of strategic operations engagements with internal stakeholders, including developing project plans and supporting critical program management
  • Support operations of the Transformation office including project tracking, meeting management, regular communications/updates, and project follow-through
  • Build effective relationships with key stakeholders, peers, and athenistas across various levels and departments  to execute on needed deliverables
  • Generate PowerPoint and Excel deliverables, communicate status of deliverables and present information to various stakeholders and cross-functional teams, including executive leadership, RCM leadership and customer facing teams.
  • Support ad-hoc projects as needed

Education & Critical Competencies

  • Bachelor of Arts, Science, or Business
  • 2-5 years of professional experience in consulting, strategy, operations, or healthcare business offices
  • Track record of successfully driving complex, cross-team initiatives
  • Creativity and forward-thinking mind-set
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Exceptional organizational, presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to deliver high quality staff work and work in areas of ambiguity
  • Experience in fast-paced, high-growth technology environments
  • Strong understanding of athenahealth’s business and the healthcare industry
  • Direct healthcare experience is a plus, with providers, payers, service providers, or health tech companies
  • Demonstrated skills with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Project management skills including planning and execution
