The Sustainability Coordinator is Aramark?s environmental stewardship leader providing expertise and leadership in developing, coordinating and initiating environmental sustainability programs at Pikes Peak. This position works closely with our team to execute against stated and contractual environmental initiatives at the location.

COMPENSATION: The Hourly rate for this position is $17.74 to $17.74. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark?s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities

  • Working with Aramark?s operation team to implement formal environmental programs, including recycling and waste management initiatives, climate initiatives and reporting, and ISO 140001 Environmental Management System.
  • Developing and leading employee education and providing leadership in environmental sustainability.
  • Coordinating corporate environmental programs and materials.
  • Maintaining environmental records/data and providing information to the operations team as required.
  • Working with Aramark clients to ensure that environmental guidelines are met and exceeded.
  • Ensuring Client and customer expectations are exceeded.
  • Ensuring that all legal legislated environmental requirements are met and maintaining records of such.
  • Actively researching within the field of environmental sustainability to ensure Aramark maintains a leading position as an environmental stewardship organization.
  • Providing leadership and advice with regards to environmental requirements and best practices.
  • Proactively soliciting ideas, building on ideas of others, sharing ideas and resources and helping groups come to consensus.
  • Working with Regional Managers, Managers and Supervisors to resolve customer issues related to environmental programs quickly, efficiently and effectively.
  • Working with Aramark?s training team to ensure that all training programs are aligned to the operational requirements and initiatives and provide value to the operations.
  • Assessing environmental programs and needs on a regular basis.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor?s Degree in a related field such as project management, environmental science, resource management, business; and one to three years? experience in environmental program management preferred.
  • Knowledge of environmental sustainability programs and processes.
  • Ability to implement effective sustainability programs for small organizations.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting, and to balance competing priorities.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience.
  • Must be highly enthusiastic, organized, detail oriented, personally committed to environmental stewardship and able to work independently, with minimal supervision.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).

Education

High School Diploma

Bachelors preferred
