Job Description

The Event Marketing Manager will lead Avendra?s sponsorship and fundraising strategy through targeted event marketing and supplier engagement. This role is responsible for driving sponsorship revenue, strengthening supplier partnerships, and supporting customer-focused events that deliver value and connection. Working cross-functionally across internal teams?and in close collaboration with Avendra?s supplier and client networks?the Manager will develop and implement strategies that enhance sponsor visibility, grow fundraising results, and align with Avendra?s broader business objectives.

The ideal candidate is comfortable in a sales-driven environment, confident in soliciting and securing sponsorships, and motivated by meeting and exceeding revenue targets. A strong focus will be placed on creating high-impact opportunities that engage sponsors and advance the success of Avendra, and the clients and suppliers with whom we partner.

This role can be based out of either Avendra headquarters in Rockville, MD or Aramark headquarters in Philadelphia, PA.

Reports to: Marketing Communications Director

Job Responsibilities

Some of your primary and additional responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Work with key client contacts and Avendra?s Account Management team to support client events that meet Avendra criteria for sponsorship support
  • Collaborate with Growth Marketing to develop strategic messaging of sponsorship offering as part of Avendra?s value-add services
  • Create annual calendars with strategic messaging positioning this as a coveted and desirable asset that is a key enabler to supplier efforts.
  • Ability to streamline a variety workstreams into one, comprehensive process for accurate and real-time reporting activities
  • Provide funding recommendations where appropriate to clients and suppliers. Aggregate all client events and supplier funds in performance dashboard for monthly internal reporting.
  • Provide updates to event owners on sponsorship requests, expectations, event progress and event follow-up while partnering with internal stakeholders
  • Work closely with account management and the Avendra sourcing team for asset development and promotion Manage accounting process for invoicing and fulfillment of supplier and client payment
  • Attend customer and industry events (as needed) to help with supplier management, event logistics, and represent Avendra?s business efforts/brand
  • Lead event-based marketing initiatives including coordinating booth collateral and signage, event communications, and overall Avendra presence at client events
  • Ensure the continuing development of Avendra?s Sponsorship efforts, including standardized talking points, selling documents, business review decks, and process improvements
  • Support and perform supplier marketing efforts, including educating suppliers on other marketing opportunities in addition to sponsorships and securing funding commitments

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include, but are not limited to:

  • Proven experience in meeting a sales or fundraising goal
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A keen attention to detail and project management competencies
  • Ability to think creatively about a variety of challenges and apply organizational skills accordingly
  • Energy, enthusiasm and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and demanding targets
  • People management experience preferred
  • A high proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Domestic travel approximately 5-10% of the time
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, event management, communications, fundraising or selling
  • BS/BA in relevant field i.e. marketing, communications, public relations.

Requirements:

  • Proficient in Microsoft platforms basic design and writing capabilities.
  • Work on-site at our office location at Avendra ? Rockville, MD or Philadelphia, PA for a minimum of three days per week
  • Strong written and oral communication competencies

COMPENSATION: The hourly rate or salary range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000. This is Aramark?s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.?
