Job Description

The HR Assistant, provides all general support of HR functions to the HR Manager, location managers and employees throughout the organization. Will act as a front-line representative of the HR department to internal and external stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

• File, organize and input employee personnel records.
• Maintain compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations.
• Responsible for maintaing HR monthly digital bulletin boards, required federal/state/aramark postings and morale programs.
• Must possess strong interpersonal and communications skills.
• Ability to listen to employee concerns and have outstanding analytical problem-solving and interpersonal skills.

• Responsible for setting up and managing the flow of all internal and external job fairs (travel to off site job fairs are required - within city limits)
• Assist in troubleshooting payroll questions from staff.
• Assist employees in resolving any issues with Aramark self-service applications
• Communicate all Aramark policies regarding FMLA/ADA leave, Aramark EAP program, summer leave etc. to applicable employees
• Maintain several HR reports for manager/director real-time viewing such as employee discpline tracker, certifications, I-9 submissions etc.
• Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned at the discretion of the manager.
• Follows ARAMARK policies and procedures and safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
• May be required to work nights, weekends as needed for employee events (less than 5% of the time)
• Ability to arrive at work on time and dressed in business casual attire

Qualifications

• 2-3 years in office setting and administrative functions, experience in HR preferred, ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Must be able to create, plan and manage creative HR strategies
• Some knowledge of EEO laws and general HR policies

• Use of Computer, Telephone, Copier, Scanner, Label Maker, Shredder required
• Must have an eager attitude and able to thrive in a fast paced environment

• Must posses a high level of attention to detail

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
