Job Description
The Groundskeeping Supervisor is responsible for supervision of grounds operations and improvement initiatives including, but not limited to, landscape operations, tree and shrub maintenance and duties related to inclement weather, such as snow removal. May also oversee other services such as transportation, pest control and turf maintenance. Manages a team of grounds professionals and ensures achievement of departmental goals and client expectations.
Compensation Data
COMPENSATION: The salary range for this position is $50,000 to $60,000. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark?s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.?

Job Responsibilities
- Assists in the planning, development, prioritization and management of all grounds maintenance and horticulture programs in accordance with the seasonal calendar and best practices of Sustainable Green and Natural Landscape for a particular client location
- Responsible for the hiring, training and performance management of supervisors and ensures to effectively communicate departmental policies and safety regulations
- Generates work orders, organizes and assigns work to be completed based on established deadlines, safety standards and sustainability practices
- Oversees grounds and construction projects as well as develops relationships with clients/campus community in conjunction with facility/property leadership
- Inspects acreage to identify areas for landscape upgrades as well as evaluates all equipment associated with grounds operations making repairs and providing technical assistance as needed
- Adheres to budgetary requirements, including the purchase of supplies, tools, equipment and other outside services
- Accountable for a culture that creates a safe work environment
- Ensures compliance with all applicable OSHA, EPA and other local, state and federal regulations and communicates such regulations to grounds staff

Qualifications
- 3-5 years previous experience in groundskeeping/horticulture required
- 2 years previous supervisory experience
- Non-commercial driver?s license required
- Possess knowledge of groundskeeping principles and power landscape equipment in order to troubleshoot equipment issues
- Work involves exposure to unusual elements and extreme temperatures
- Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization as well as external vendors and contractors
This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).
