A client of ours is seeking a skilled Java Developer to join their team and contribute to the development of high-quality software and data integration solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in software development, data integration design, and implementing engineering best practices within collaborative and fast-paced environments. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain REST-based APIs and data integration pipelines using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Batch.
- Implement software engineering best practices, including DevOps, CI/CD, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies.
- Write automated unit, integration, and acceptance tests for data interfaces and pipelines.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure new systems meet production standards and align with support strategy guidelines.
- Maintain and update knowledge repositories to ensure information on support-related activities and issues is easily accessible.
- Service requests for data and other activities requiring access to production systems.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in software development roles with a focus on software and data product development.
- 3+ years of experience in data integration design patterns.
- 3+ years of experience implementing software engineering best practices (DevOps, CI/CD, Scrum, Kanban).
- 2+ years of experience coding in Java, building REST-based APIs, and working with messaging and streaming technologies.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and related technologies to build data integration pipelines.
- 2+ years of experience with tools such as Bamboo, Bitbucket, and Jira.
- Experience writing automated tests for data pipelines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with scheduling tools like Control-M.
- Proficiency with development tools such as GitHub, Harness, Launch Darkly, and mabl.
- Experience working with NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP, or other cloud platforms.
- Prior experience in the financial services industry.
- Quick adaptability to new technologies and tools.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including communication, teamwork, and negotiation.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $50 to $54 hourly. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
