Your role:

As a Test Engineer you will be part of a global manufacturing engineering team contributing on high sophisticated products driving to a safer, greener and more connected future of mobility. In this role you will work together with the manufacturing development team on test software, hardware, and application specific tooling for assigned product programs while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to identify test requirements, develop test strategies, and implement robust testing solutions.

  • Develop and optimize manufacturing functional electrical tests
  • Support kick-off meetings and MSD workshops with/in the PML for the assigned project while enforcing the proper requirements management
  • work out a suitable standard test equipment/configuration for the assigned projects
  • Facilitate test coverage analysis process, ensuring adequate test coverage for the assigned test process, request design changes in case test coverage issues in early design phase
  • Apply 6 Sigma for Test Statistical Analysis Methods to optimize CPK performance of parametric electrical tests
  • Track needed test equipment/tools, ensure availability of needed material for all equipment/tool development
  • Perform test equipment buy-off at suppliers, drive capability studies, strain measurement, create list of key parameters to be transferred to quality plan
  • Provide equipment training to PML test engineers, latest after PV
  • Participate in escalation meetings on program management level on demand

Your Background:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a technical field such as electronics, electrical engineering, computer engineering or with a familiarity with electrical components & knowhow in electronics measurement device and equipment.
  • Comfortable in software programming. initiations in LabView & NI TestStand will be considered as an asset.
  • Basic Project management capabilities & basic to intermediate knowledge of mechanical design of test tooling.
  • Knowledge of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, LVDS, Flex-Ray is a plus with a solid Knowledge in Six-sigma-for-Test and statistical methods.
  • Strong problem solving skills, including hands on capability for S/W debugging, keen eye for details and a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Energetic, self-motivated, and proactive work style.
  • Outstanding verbal and written skills in English.
