Your Role

In your daily job you will:

  • Own start to finish development of the electronics - from specifications to design, prototype, reliability validation and high-volume manufacturing.
  • Design, analyze, simulate and perform verification testing of analog and digital circuits including power stage, power supplies, intelligent driver circuits, I/O signal conditioning and filtering circuits.
  • Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications of electrical components and subsystems.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure design robustness and cost advantages.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, PCB layout and firmware engineering teams to successfully to design, validate and manufacture products that meet the necessary requirements.
  • Support internal and external design resources when appropriate (e.g. PCB layout, software development, other engineers, test laboratories, simulations, etc.)
  • Support development of engineering and manufacturing test plans.
  • Apply theoretical and practical knowledge of electrical engineering in laboratory environments to verify, validate and improve product designs.

Must Haves (Basic Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of three years' experience with power electronics high-voltage hardware development experience - DCDC converters/OBCs/inverters for industrial or aerospace or military drives, battery electric or hybrid electric vehicle systems.
  • Strong communication skills that translate the benefits of technical decisions in your field to colleagues, management and other stakeholders, including customers.
  • Experience simulating circuit and systems with physics models, using tools such as PSPICE, Matlab/Simulink.
  • Experience with determining electrical and thermal stress of power electronics components.
  • Proficiency with basic EE lab tools (oscilloscopes, signal generators, network analyzers, etc.).
  • Experience with testing and troubleshooting of power electronics circuit board.

Nice to Haves (Preferred Qualifications):

  • MSEE or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
  • 5+ years' experience in Power Electronics product hardware design of OBC, DCDC and inverters.
  • Experience in conducting electrical, thermal and EMC analysis of OBC, DCDC, inverter or other power electronics module system and subsystems.
  • Experience with CAD tools for system behavioral simulation (Plecs/PSim, Saber, Ansys)
  • Experience performing high-voltage high-power electronics design verification, troubleshooting and final product testing.
  • Knowledge of applicable safety standards including ISO, IEC, ASPICE and others.
