Program Manager

El Paso, TX

The program manager leads the multifunctional teams to assure a flawless execution of the new product launches. This position will work side by side with a cross functional team and is responsible for leading and drive the execution of the Project in terms but not limited to Industrialization, Manpower Hiring & Training, Program Ramp-up as well as work with the team to fulfill the customer build event deliverables and their communication status internal/external.

Your Role

  • Provide Project Plan in line with customer and Aptiv requirements: Define project milestones, timeline and project team
  • Synchronize with customer on a regular basis to be aligned at all times
  • Define roles and responsibilities of team members to achieve program targets
  • Adhere to project frame and goals (Timing, Cost, Quality)
  • Lead the project team, including regular program review meetings
  • Assure communication within the team and to the customer
  • Control program execution and manage deviations to plan, define tasks and action plans to close gaps and control execution and effectiveness of these plans
  • Escalate issues that cannot be resolved to higher management
  • Schedule, prepare and conduct project reviews (PDP gate reviews, OGRs, Design Reviews etc)

Your Background

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical and electronic engineering, mechanical engineering, or similar, business administration, industrial engineering
  • High level of English proficiency is a must (90% or higher).
  • 3 + years of experience in wire harness assembly processes/Automotive industry
  • 3 + years of relevant experience in a Project or Program Management function
  • Experience managing difficult and challenging situations during the execution, knowledge required on managing team to resolve issues.
  • High communication skills and collaborative mindset
  • Independently working with high self-commitment
  • Good networker
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to effectively organize, prioritize and accomplish multiple conflicting tasks, make intelligent, timely decisions and solve problems independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Flexibility and willingness for business trips
