Direct material purchasing. Quoting, selecting, and finalizing supplier recommendations. Generating savings to meet Aptiv's established goals. Generating purchase orders. Providing general sales support.

Skills:

  • University degree in commercial, engineering, or value chain-related areas.
  • English proficiency at an 80% level.
  • Required experience:
  • Purchasing Supplier negotiation
  • Problem solving
  • Prioritizing activities and assignments
  • Program management skills
  • Proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Office:
  • Excel, Word, and PowerPoint ii. SAP
  • Teamwork
  • Oral and verbal communication in Spanish and English.

General Duties

  • Supplier negotiation.
  • Search for savings opportunities and projects.

l. Materials analysis.

ll. Supply chain analysis.

lll. Analysis of economic factors in the industry.

  • Achieving savings goals.
  • Improving commercial terms such as:

l. Payment terms.

ll. Payment on receipt.

lll. Monthly payment.

lV. Incoterms.

  • Transfer titles, etc.
  • Location within the region.
  • Timely supplier selection process.
  • Coordinate/support business transfers between Aptiv plants.
  • Prevent supplier delivery disruptions.
  • Tool movements.
  • Supplier location changes.
  • Supplier changes
