We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Account Manager to join our UK team, based in our Coventry, West Midlands, customer service centre.
The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial background within a T1 automotive supplier, with demonstratable experience delivering successful business results and profitable account growth in the sector.

Experience of selling technologically complex products into OEM's involved in the vehicle electrification space would be beneficial.
Your Role:
- Manage the commercial aspects of projects, in coordination with Program / Engineering teams, to deliver the budgeted level of profitability
- Manage the commercial tasks including sales forecasts, cost & pricing, engineering changes, TVM, on-time cash recovery.
- Build strong relationships with both customers and the internal teams across multiple functions including; Product Engineering, Costing, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality and Logistics.
- Define and deliver the sales plan aligned to the product line, through strategy deployment and improving customer intimacy
- Manage the complete customer ‘Request For Quotation' process, at the customer and through the internal approval gates. Developing Business Win Strategies for your OEMs to support business growth targets
- Manage the internal Engineering Change Management process to support timely and on-budget delivery of all changes
- Work closely with the Finance team and all internal stakeholders to deliver against the commercial targets
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the customers first point of contact for all commercial related issues within EMEA.
- Developing Business Win Strategies for your OEMs to support business growth targets
- Tracking and reporting costs, and reporting out KPIs with measurable improvement action plans where required
- Coordinate and present at the internal program approval gates to ensure compliance with budgets
- Liaise with internal Operations, Quality, Program and Logistics teams to ensure the delivery of world class customer services and products.
- Supporting customer and internal site visits across EMEA.
- Supporting products in production: understand and facilitate quality resolution, service, price profit, technology, responsiveness, and performance issues.
- Preparing and delivering customer presentations
- Managing the customer portal and ensuring all requests are delivered on-timed
- Conducting price and cost calculations and negotiations for proposals and contracts
- Liaising with internal teams to understand and optimize costs for engineering changes
- Adherence to TS16949 ( IATF 16949) , and all EOS/sales processes and procedures, including supporting internal / 3rd party audits
- Transfer the "Voice of Customer" into the Executive leadership team
Your background:
- Minimum of 5 years customer-facing experience in the T1 automotive supply base working with multiple automotive OEM's. Global/AP OEMs Advantageous.
- Proven success in delivering profitable growth in the T1 automotive supply base
- Experience in the Vehicle electrification sector and/or electrical wiring harness would be advantageous
- A strong academic background including University degree or equivalent, with a technical qualification being advantageous
- A clear ability to clearly grasp and communicate technical details.
- Excellent communication skills, presentation and negotiation skills
- Ability to work autonomously, as well as part of the team to drive effective results
- Strong emotional intelligence to understand how and where to add value both internally and at the customer
- Fluent in English, additional languages could be advantageous
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
