The Opportunity:

ApplyBoard is looking to hire an Associate Director of Sales, to grow our UK business and drive revenue growth , market share and profitability. This role will be responsible for managing overall sales for the assigned geography through effective sales strategies, team management, and customer relationship management. You will also manage the sales team and develop a strong governance mechanism to ensure the overall goals are being met or exceeded.

What you'll be doing every day:

Sales Strategy and Planning:
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market penetration goals.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities for business growth.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to create and execute effective sales campaigns and promotional activities.


Team Management:
  • Lead and manage a team of sales representatives, providing guidance, coaching, and support to achieve individual and team targets.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, set goals, and provide feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team culture, encouraging teamwork and professional development.


Business Development:
  • Identify, pursue new and exciting business opportunities, including partnerships, collaborations, and client acquisitions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, such as recruitment partners and schools.
  • Attend industry conferences, regional seminars , and networking events to promote ApplyBoard.


Sales Operations and Reporting:
  • Ensure accurate and timely sales reporting, including revenue forecasts, pipeline management, and sales conversion rates.
  • Utilize CRM software (SalesForce) to track sales activities, customer interactions, and deal progress.
  • Collaborate with the cross functional teams such as Operations , Partner Relations / Partner Client to streamline sales processes and ensure smooth order fulfillment.


Customer Relationship Management:
  • Establish and nurture long-term relationships with customers, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions.
  • Conduct effective product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the value and benefits of our solutions.
  • Resolve customer queries, concerns, and escalations in a timely and satisfactory manner.


What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's / MBA, or equivalent degree
  • UK Destination experience is a must
  • Proven track record of success in sales, preferably in the EdTech industry.
  • Experience in managing and leading a sales team.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with CRM software for sales tracking and reporting.
  • Self-motivated, result-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
