UI Compositing team develops APIs, Frameworks and System Software that is the core graphics compositing engine behind every Apple device that renders to a display. Our team is looking for an extraordinary software engineering manager to lead a team of highly skilled engineers to work on the technologies behind the iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, AppleTV; every Apple product that has a display. By working at the core graphics layers in Apple's operating systems, you will have the opportunity to have a major impact on the end user experience for all Apple customers.

Description

Development of UI compositing engine responsible for rendering to support the various elements and effects in to support higher level UI frameworks and Applications for both iOS and macOS devices Performance and power optimizations to provide responsive UI and great user interaction experience across all Apple devices Development of scheduler for rendering, compositing, pacing and landing frames for display optimally with efficient power usage Debug UI rendering or performance/power/memory issues and support continuous integration effort to maintain quality

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or related field
  • Relevant internship experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with graphics API and graphics acceleration of 2D or 3D content
  • Experience writing graphics shaders and implementing advances rendering techniques
  • Experience debugging and optimizing applications
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $121,900 and $183,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
