Description

Apple's Retail Sales Finance team is a high-impact, high-growth team with direct visibility and regular interactions with Retail/Apple leadership. Team members are designated as the global subject matter experts on specific product/promotions areas (e.g. Mac) and help to support decision making on related commercial investments and initiatives. The Retail Sales Financial Analyst will support weekly WW forecasts and business reviews, future quarter and long range forecasts, and drive Retail product launch/analysis reporting. Responsibilites include: FORECASTING: Develop Retail's weekly and quarterly demand forecast, segmented by product, country, segment, and channel Understand how variables such as historical performance, seasonality, promotions, and the macro/micro economic environment affect the current business trends Prepare a comprehensive forecast assumption analysis to present to Retail leadership and partners across the company STRATEGIC ANALYSIS: Provide strategic consultation and guidance on business proposals, promotional campaigns, sales programs and key financial decisions affecting the organization Present complex financial modeling in simplified form to Retail Leadership and senior finance executives, requiring excellent communication skills, a strong eye for business, and the ability to think fluidly during presentations BUSINESS PARTNERING: Build strong business partnerships across Retail Market Development, Retail Geo Leadership, WW Corporate Finance teams, WW Inventory Planning teams and more. Assist the sales performance and geo focused teams by developing analyses, tools, processes and procedures to facilitate and monitor business initiatives Partner with the inventory planning team weekly to provide forecast insights that drive supply allocation to Retail

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience within Finance, FP&A or Commercial Finance or other related field
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Finance, accounting or other related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in Corporate Finance, FP&A or Commercial Finance or other related field
  • Shown ability to distill complex decisions into simple but comprehensive financial models
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate results to both senior leadership and large groups, representing Finance perspective to non-Finance business partners
  • Ability to apply new concepts and information in a multifaceted business
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple activities, projects, priorities, and people in a dynamic, fast-growing environment
  • Proven track record of independently completing challenging projects, leading multiple priorities, crafting and executing ad hoc analysis and building effective business partnerships
  • A self-starter with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Experience with enterprise software systems (e.g. SAP, Business Objects, Tableau, Thoughtspot) a plus

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $107,300 and $161,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
