The Worldwide Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) team is looking for a Manager to lead a team of individual contributors to drive a portfolio of projects with direct impact on Apple's Supply Chain and Retail Fulfillment Operations to surprise and delight our customers. The leader will be able to influence, support, and implement future capabilities to keep Apple ahead of competition. The portfolio includes; expansion of retail stores both online and physical, new / expansion of fulfillment methods, new gifting and payment methods, trade-in, repair strategies, Retail replenishment and inventory management, and Apple's 2030 programs. In addition, the leader will work closely with New Product Introduction teams to ensure alignment on customer expectations and ensure a smooth customer experience from ordering to unboxing of product. This leader will guide / coach / empower the team to strive for excellence across the project portfolio, while demonstrating the values of WW Operations BPR.

Description

The RFO Portfolio is a cross functional portfolio that works closely with Retail Online and physical stores team, Logistics and packaging teams, Product Marketing, Product Ops, Apple Services organizations, and Apple Care teams. The portfolio is made up of initiatives that support the teams mentioned above as well as a prioritized portfolio for RFO. This includes, expansion of retail stores both online and physical, new / expand fulfillment methods, new gifting and payment methods, Trade-In, & repair methods, Retail replenishment and inventory management, and Apple's 2030 programs. The Manager will work closely with New Product Introduction teams to ensure alignment on customer expectations and ensure a smooth customer experience from ordering to unboxing of product. This leader will guide / coach / empower the team to strive for excellence across the project portfolio, while demonstrating the values of WW Operations BPR. This role will: • Work closely with RFO /ASO / Retail Leadership to understand, contribute, and support the strategies focused on revenue growth, customer experience, expansion, and Apple's 2030 goals. • Define and manage complex multi-year capability roadmaps that align to business strategies. • Influence and shape business strategy as informed by process and systems transformation opportunities. • Provide functional subject matter expertise and thought leadership to help inspire innovation. • Manage a large portfolio of programs from a funding, resourcing, timeline perspective. • Build and lead a high performing team of managers and individual contributors to deliver on the project portfolio. • Act as an advocate for the Retail Fulfillment teams in cross functional initiatives. • Act as a liaison between the functional teams and other internal partners such as IS&T and the advanced analytics teams, etc. to design and deliver comprehensive solutions to the business. • Manage change. Implement new ideas effectively within the Apple culture. • Influence decisions and change management through collaboration, leadership and a customer- focused approach. • Apply analytical skills to rationalize and prioritize change. • Addresses escalations, quickly assess and develop root cause analysis and problem solution for operational issues. • Define and implement critical metrics to measure portfolio and team members success. • Manage escalations and timely resolutions. • Work with cross functional teams to ensure NPI Post ops is done on issues experienced and prioritize the work to prevent reoccurrence.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS Degree plus 12+ years relevant experience
  • 12+ years of progressive experience with minimum of 3+ years of leadership experience responsible for global supply chain transformation, preferably in high-tech / consumer electronics / retail industries.
  • Deep and broad expertise in all aspects of logistics and fulfillment operations, systems and processes.
  • Strong functional understanding of systems infrastructure required to support logistics, distribution and fulfillment.
  • Expert at leading multiple efforts simultaneously in a global capacity including working with international teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA
  • Consistent track record of leading strategic programs, combined with the ability to execute at tactical project-level activities and tasks.
  • Ability to communicate and influence at multiple levels of cross functional organizations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to adapt one's style based on the level of the audience.
  • Proficient knowledge of the systems implementation and development life cycles.
  • Excellent leadership skills that enhance the team's effectiveness.
  • Proven ability to lead, inspire and motivate teams; leads through empowerment and influence.
  • New Product Introduction processes knowledge
  • Problem solving to quickly understand issues and implement mitigation steps

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $155,100 and $233,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
