APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Build the next generation of interactive applications. Work on some of Apple's most advanced technologies, including augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), machine learning (ML), and computer vision (CV). Assist in crafting future products. Build complex applications using iOS frameworks like UIKit, AVFoundation, Core Motion, Core ML, CloudKit, SiriKit, StoreKit, etc. Work with technologies such as the newly announced SwiftUI and RealityKit frameworks, UIKit, and ARKit. Work on the applications and services that define the overall experience of Apple platforms. Work closely with Apple's UI framework, Human Interface designers, and system software teams to solve problems in AR/VR. Create applications that are integrated into Apple operating systems using a wide variety of internal frameworks and services. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,713 - $214,500/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Education and/or experience must include:
• Using Swift, SwiftUI, and Metal to implement interactive user interfaces and visualizations for augmented reality applications
• Implement 3D game engine techniques including: lighting, animations, collision detection, shaders, mipmapping, and anisotropic sampling for augmented reality applications.
• Utilize Swift and Metal to implement media playback frameworks to render photos and videos in augmented reality environments.
• Debug low-level graphics and media errors impacting video playback.
• Utilizing CoreMedia Framework to implement software applications and working with carriage of video and metadata types
• Implement light transport algorithms including stereo and light fields to enhance immersive media experiences.
• Applying machine learning models to create enhanced photos and video experiences.
• Assist in study design to benchmark the effectiveness of techniques and define measures of success.
