Quality Assurance Analyst - $33.74/hr

As a Quality Assurance Anaylst in Fairfield, you will perform various studies, statistical analysis, and participate in PDCA teams to improve quality throughout the brewery. You will also run routine analyses of packaged beer for oxygen, carbon dioxide, fill level, etc.

• Run routine analytical analyses on beer samples including: ph, ballings, alcohol, sodium, and iron.
• Run routine analyses of packaged beer for oxygen, carbon dioxide, fill level, etc.
• Routine testing of pasteurizers for proper pasteurization.
• Conduct inspection and analysis of package integrity and specifications.
• Coordinate quality analyses ensuring accurate results, timely completion, and proper responses and notification.
• Other routine laboratory testing, as needed.

• Work schedule is Monday through Friday; Midnights 11:00PM to 7:00AM, Days 7:00AM to 3PM, or Afternoons 3PM to 11:00PM; daily, weekend & holiday overtime may be offered. Scheduling is based on Union seniority.

• Bachelor's degree in a science-intensive discipline (e.g. Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, etc.) Ability to operate laboratory instruments and perform basic instrument maintenance.
• Knowledge of basic laboratory safety, sanitation, procedures and techniques.
• Strong technical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Solid interpersonal skills and team orientation.
• Must be flexible to work varying shifts during this week. Some weekends and holidays may be required.
• Skilled in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Understanding of the brewing and packaging process, HACCP and Good Manufacturing Practices for food manufacturing a plus.
