Job summary
Amazon is seeking a self-motivated, creative communications professional to join our Devices & Services PR teamthe team responsible for telling stories of intention and impact about products like Echo, Alexa, Kindle, Fire TV, Halo, and more. In this role, you will develop engaging and shareable content and bring proactive and news-driven stories to life on Amazon's owned channels.

You are a proficient writer with experience identifying and crafting stories that resonate with key audiences. You are creative, collaborative, and adept at making tech-focused stories more human and relatable and can work equally well with PR, marketing, and brand design teams. You can also balance being scrappy and moving quickly with building a program that scales across multiple countries.

Key job responsibilities
• Partner with a Director of Owned Channels & Content, product PR teams, and the Amazon Devices & Services Brand Design team to create compelling written and visual content for Amazon's owned channels.
• Use visual assets like customer videos, explainer graphics, and lab/tech videos and photo stories to make consumer tech topics interesting and relatable.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree
• 2+ years of writing or communications experience
• Experience telling relatable, compelling stories about complex topics and/or products

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Equally comfortable producing stories, from concept to final deliverable, solo or as a part of a team
• Experience balancing multiple projects short and long-term and delivering on deadline every time
• A knack for diplomacy and the confidence to engage and build consensus with leaders at all levels
• Exceptional attention to detail and communication skills
• Tactically awareknowledgeable about what's going on in digital communications and able to apply these insights to make their programs stronger
• Innovates and develops new, peculiar, and effective ideas
• Self-driven, entrepreneurial spirit, enjoys taking responsibility and making things happen
