Job Overview:
Developing and maintaining projects involves designing, testing, debugging, and implementing operating system components, software tools, and utilities. This role requires determining design requirements for systems software and ensuring successful implementation and monitoring for increased efficiency. Recognized as a subject matter expert, the individual manages large projects with limited oversight, coaching and delegating work to lower-level professionals. The challenges faced are often difficult and complex, influencing others on policies, practices, and procedures. This role requires providing solutions to advanced technical projects or business issues and showcasing state-of-the-art technical knowledge. The individual may serve as an in-house expert on specific technologies or within the job function area, demonstrating a complete understanding and wide application of advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts in a specialized field, with broad knowledge of the professional field and related functions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers, setting technical direction and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to decipher project requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Architect, design, and implement complex software systems using [Specify relevant technologies, e.g., Java, Python, Node.js].
- Conduct rigorous code reviews to uphold coding standards, best practices, and system performance.
- Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to establish project timelines and deliverables.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
- 8+ years of proven experience as a Senior Engineer or in a similar technical leadership role.
- Proficiency in programming languages and frameworks.
- Strong understanding of modern software development methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with a track record of making strategic technical decisions.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies.
- Previous experience managing and leading high-performing software engineering teams.
