Role Overview:

As a Lead Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our software applications and platforms are not only technically robust but also culturally sensitive and accessible to a broad spectrum of users worldwide. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement development strategies, enhance user interfaces, and drive innovation in our products.

Key Responsibilities:

Development Excellence:

  • Lead the design and implementation of user interfaces that are intuitive, responsive, and visually appealing.
  • Collaborate with product teams to understand requirements and integrate them seamlessly into the development process.
  • Implement efficient development workflows to enhance the overall user experience for our global user base.

Technical Expertise:

  • Develop and maintain tools, scripts, and frameworks that streamline front-end development processes and enhance accessibility features.
  • Collaborate with software engineers to embed accessibility principles directly into the codebase, ensuring a seamless user experience for all.
  • Lead the definition of the front-end development tooling roadmap with the support of dedicated program managers.

Global Collaboration:

  • Provide valuable technical mentorship for the development team, as well as cross-functional partners.
  • Establish and lead front-end development technologies, overseeing the implementation of user interfaces for increased efficiency.
  • Work closely with international stakeholders to understand cultural nuances and ensure an engaging representation of content in various languages.

Accessibility Champion:

  • Lead efforts to make our software universally accessible, ensuring compliance with relevant accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG, Section 508).
  • Advocate for accessibility best practices and conduct training sessions to spread awareness within the organization.
  • Identify opportunities for education and knowledge-sharing within the Alteryx community on accessibility standard methodologies to optimize user interfaces.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in full stack development and implementation for software applications.
  • Need strong experience with JavaScript, React, Node, (React Intl / Format.JS), and C#.
  • Familiarity with full stack development tools and platforms and accessibility evaluation tools.
  • Understanding of internationalization best practices and familiarity with industry standards.
  • Proficiency in WCAG 2 is a plus.
  • Familiarity with project tracking software (e.g., JIRA, Rally).
