Alteryx is looking for an Alliance Manager with strong business development and relationship management experience to join the Alteryx Japan team to accelerate our partner ecosystem in Japan.

The objective is to work with selected managed partners as well as recruit and scale the growth of new partners to extend our reach, relevance and revenues.

The candidate will have significant experience and track record in partner development and alliance management in developing committed capable and scalable partners in existing and new business in Japan. The successful candidate will work with the partners' alliances, technical, marketing and field level individuals and ensure alignment with their counterparts.

Reporting directly to the Head of Alliances & Channels, APJ and dotted line to Vice President of Japan Sales, this is a critical role within the Alteryx team and will require cross-functional leadership skills to work with Alteryx Sales, Partner, Marketing and Sales Engineering teams to drive strong engagements between the partners and Alteryx.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong partner and business development background and leadership skills to impact and influence with a high degree of energy, flexibility and drive to create measureable results.

The candidate should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, technology, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions and work cross-organizationally to build consensus. We are looking for candidates who are creative, firm and looking to expand and advance their responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to initiate and support, fresh partnership conversations, driving a plan for mutual success, driving joint GTM plan with new partners and proven ability on partner on-boarding and strong partnership development skills.
  • Create and maintain strong business relationships with on-boarded partners at all levels including executives, sales, marketing and operations.
  • Develop joint alliance business plans with key stakeholders between Partner and Alteryx including specific governance around business development actions, demand generation, pipeline and revenue outcomes.
  • Drive Quarterly Business Reviews and governance against agreed goals including regular pipeline reviews, revenue and renewals performance along with executive communications on partnership status/results.
  • Drive solution development focused on new opportunity areas, facilitate 'art of the possible' sessions and drive the process for joint offering build-out/development, create joint services delivery model and consider business terms for specialized agreements.
  • Internal selling and socialization of partnership, value prop, partnering behaviors across Alteryx stakeholders.
  • Work closely with Alteryx leadership, sales, sales engineering and marketing teams to align the GTM activities with partners around specific customers and territories requirements including brokering of account mapping and field-level activities
  • Develop strong and impactful relationships with the Alteryx sales team and provide them with insight into partnering strategies and best practices as well as the capabilities of partners

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in the following areas: Alliances, Business Development, Channel and/or Direct Sales, of which a minimum of 5 years must be working in partner development/partner sales in Japan.
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit and develop capable, committed and scalable partners
  • Strategic thinker able to blend technology and business strategy to develop compelling plans for new partner initiatives, preferably in the Data & AI space.
  • Strength in building and maintaining strong relationships with a diverse set of internal and partner constituencies including senior level executives, legal, finance, support, sales, and marketing experts; have strong executive presence.
  • Possess domain expertise in data, analytics, AI and cloud market spaces.
  • Natural and effortless relationship management and partner development skills.
  • Highly organized, detail oriented and excellent planning and time management skills.
  • Must be able to prioritize and multi-task with special attention to detail and follow-up.
  • Ability to negotiate skillfully in challenging situations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Japanese and English, as well as the ability to effectively present to all levels of management.
  • Ability to run quickly with little supervision and adapt to a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree or other significant business experience.
