Provide support to the International Trade team, specifically in US import operations, documentation handling, HTS classification, and shipment tracking. The intern will assist in ensuring import compliance and efficient shipment flow.

 

 

What You Will Enjoy Doing

 

  • Assist with the preparation and verification of import documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, etc.).
  • Support HTS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule) classification for imported products.
  • Track and trace inbound shipments, update shipment status in internal systems, and communicate any delays/issues.
  • Coordinate with customs brokers and freight forwarders to ensure timely clearance and delivery.
  • Maintain accurate and organized import records for compliance and audit readiness.
  • Assist with internal reporting related to import activities (e.g., shipment status, costs, timelines).
  • Perform additional tasks and project support as assigned by the trade compliance team.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in or recently completed a program in International Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Basic knowledge of international shipping and customs procedures preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong communication skills; ability to work in a cross-functional environment.
