The Role
We're looking for a Director, Contract Negotiator to serve as our first line "deal closer" steering commercial agreements from redline to signature. In this role, you'll help Alight's sales and client management teams navigate the contracting process to drive business growth while maintaining contract outcomes aligned with Alight's market service offerings. You'll report to our VP Legal, within our Legal & Corporate Affairs team.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Negotiation & Management
- Lead end-to-end negotiations for Master Services Agreements, SOWs, BAAs, data privacy addenda, fees, SLAs, and scope documents
- Collaborate with sales, client management, and operational leaders to close deals efficiently
- Highlight risks, opportunities, and considerations to leadership while providing guidance on contract positions and fallbacks
- Manage multiple concurrent deals from simple renewals to complex multi-service contracts
- Respond swiftly to time-sensitive requests while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
Process Improvement & System Enhancement
- Help implement and optimize our Ironclad CLM system across the company
- Identify bottlenecks and recommend practical improvements to reduce turnaround times
- Contribute to high-impact projects aimed at refining contracting processes, templates, and playbooks
- Apply AI-powered tools and techniques to streamline document analysis and contract processing
Stakeholder Partnership
- Collaborate with internal legal team attorneys and business stakeholders to align contract terms with business objectives
- Train and guide sales and client teams on contract best practices
- Present effectively to various levels of the organization, including senior leadership
- Foster strong relationships with clients and partners to facilitate smooth contract execution
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum 7 years' experience in sell-side contracting and negotiation or equivalent experience working with commercial sales teams (B2B experience strongly preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Flexible, pragmatic approach with sound business acumen
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
- Skill in building rapport across different functional areas and organizational levels
- Experience with contract management tools preferred

102,400 USD
Maximum :
162,600 USD
