  • Devise and implement methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
  • Design and analyze inspection and testing processes, mechanisms, and equipment.
  • Conduct quality assurance tests and perform statistical analysis to assess the level of control and lead product quality risks.
  • Undertake root cause analysis of incidents requiring corrective action.
  • Ensure that corrective measures and deviation meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements
  • Supervise day-to-day operations in the microbiology lab.
  • Direct supervision of the microbiology staff.
  • Review and approval of routine sterilization cycles and laboratory test results for conformance.
  • Responsible for all SOPs regarding the microbiology laboratory and sterility assurance.
  • Responsible for maintaining the validated state of the sterilization process and microbiology lab test equipment.
  • Oversight of non-conformance investigations and implementation of corrective and preventive actions concerning sterilization process, microbiology testing, and environmental controls.
  • Coordinate and schedule with outside laboratories and sterilization contractors sample processing and testing to support laboratory and/or sterilization programs.
  • Provide validation support to facilities, manufacturing, and engineering.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs.; Assoc.+6 yrs.; M.S.+0 yrs.)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
  • 2 Years of Relevant Experience
  • Work hours: Exempt M-F
  • Travel Requirements: Minimal (Domestic)
