As a Health Services Medical Assistant supporting Occupational Health Clinics, you will be trusted to aid in direct patient care under the direct supervision of a medical provider that is congruent with state regulations at Houston, TX.

  • Administer injections, screening tests, acquire laboratory specimens, rooming patients during clinic visits, and other patient care-related tasks.
  • Assist with administrative functions, including but not limited to scheduling patient appointments, maintaining updated quality logs, OSHA Forms, and patient records, and ordering and inventorying supplies.
  • Facilitate clear and timely communication of employees' work status with key organizational partners to support daily operations.
  • Additionally, this role performs various activities supporting functional areas such as finance, purchasing, human resources, or for a specific project/business/technical unit.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
  • Work hours: M-F, between 7am - 7pm
  • Travel Requirements: None

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
  • Current Medical Assistant Certification
  • Basic Life Skills Certification preferred
