You Are:
Accenture is seeking an IT Sourcing and Category Management Specialist to collaborate with external clients to develop sourcing strategies related to the IT Category. You will be expected to:
- Lead sourcing and procurement solutions designed to drive spend capture
- Lead client selection criteria process, supplier selection process, contract negotiation and formal bidding process
- Provide industry and supplier research, market intelligence and financial analyses to client
- Support development of market insights from cross-client sourcing activity and collaborate with the Procurement Category function
The Work:
Sourcing:
- Lead complex sourcing projects
- Pursue and develop strong stakeholder relationships
- Make a significant impact from a client satisfaction standpoint with your projects
- Lead teams by example through the delivery of outstanding projects
- Understand client's business needs to develop optimal sourcing solution
- Lead and facilitate (with the client's cross-functional team) the selection criteria for supplier selection and evaluations
- Design and develop relevant RFP documents for projects or make recommendations for incumbent negotiations
- Negotiate agreement with supplier and incorporate best practice metrics for agreements to aid the Category Management process in supplier relationship management activities
- May be responsible for contracting negotiated agreement
- Develops and expands category knowledge in support of sourcing projects
- Develop and deploy Sourcing offering deliverables (i.e. process templates)
- Indirectly (and in certain cases directly) coach and manage Sourcing Team Members and begin to develop people (onshore and offshore) in our business
- Ensure that services are provided within assigned budgets and timelines; takes actions necessary to address any issues
- Provide input to Accenture best practices
- Monitor and provide guidance on procurement process for categories under management
- Capture and report key findings from procurement activities that can be used to gain efficiencies and or knowledge for similar engagements
- Support development of subcategory market insights materials or benchmarks
- Work with Client Delivery to ensure that services are delivered in accordance with contractual/service level obligations
- Develop relationships with primary Procurement and Business stakeholders to proactively identify future needs / opportunities
- Understand needs of incoming client requests to determine the most appropriate course of action (balancing speed of execution and value delivery)
- Provide oversight of pipeline to ensure projects continue to progress, post project kick-off
- Navigate client processes effectively to avoid escalations and bottlenecks
- Act as the first line of escalation for issues questions from the Sourcing Project Manager or stakeholder, within the assigned category
- Provide process / policy related guidance to Sourcing Project Manager or stakeholder where necessary
- Lead weekly project update calls with Sourcing Project Managers and Client Category Manager
- Provide summary of category specific project updates to the Client Category Manager to help streamline communications and gather feedback where needed

Qualifications
Here's What You Need:
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain management, or managing suppliers
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in contracting/negotiation processes and best practices
- Ability to effectively lead formal strategic sourcing efforts related to IT
- Solid understanding of and experience with quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Excellent communication, organization/time management, and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional multi-tasking skills with the ability to manage multiple end-to-end project lifecycles
- Strong project management and relationship-building skills
- Advanced proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
- Collaborative in nature to ensure both internal and external stakeholders are being managed and engaged when appropriate
- Successful track record with clients
- Adaptable management style to conform to the varied corporate cultures and organizational structures of our customers
- Knowledge of procurement operations
- Experience working directly with key stakeholders in business units
- Ability to travel up to 30% is required to support client-related work
