- Lead Department operational and strategic planning of all storage and compute platforms, including fostering innovation, planning projects, and organizing and negotiating the allocation of resources.
- Work with organizational leaders to identify infrastructure storage and compute platforms -related initiatives and needs, and designs and implements solutions.
- Oversee tasks associated with designing, implementing, installing, and maintaining system infrastructures.
- Monitor system performance to proactively identify potential issues and address them accordingly.
- Design and implements system improvements.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoots failed or underperforming components, and takes corrective action as needed.
- Oversee in the development of specifications and configurations governing system design and functionality.
- Benchmark, analyze, report on, and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT systems.
- Manage financial aspects of the Systems Engineering Department, including purchasing, budgeting, and budget review.
- Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Sciences, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field. Eight (8) years in-depth supervisory experience in the Information Technology Server Engineering or related.
- Certifications in ITIL, MCITP, VCDX or related preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of computing environments including directory services (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP), server operating systems, email, virtualization platform(s), shared storage administration, and any Enterprise services solutions.
- Proven experience in IT infrastructure planning and development.
