SUMMARY:

The intersection of media & commerce is creating new opportunities for advertisers to drive demand & grow share. Kroger Precision Marketing leverages rich 1P data to target messages, bridge advertising into commerce and transparently evaluate effectiveness of media activations. Retail will transform the media ecosystem and Kroger will be at the forefront. The Senior Media Account Executive will be responsible for developing and delivering media plans for Non-Endemic clients, helping them meet consumers via Kroger Precision Marketing’s programmatic digital solutions. This newly created role will be responsible for the growth and expansion of KPM’s Non-Endemic offering including: working hand-in-hand with Media Planning to ensure alignment of digital tactics to client objectives, partnering with Campaign Management to ensure campaigns are delivered with excellence and remain connected with the KPM Product Team to highlight new partnerships and evolving solutions, all while delivering superior client satisfaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Growing and maintaining a book of new business and driving the selling cycle with a portfolio of Non-Endemic clients including working with different groups that own advertising and marketing budgets (Brand Direct Relationships, National Agencies of Record, Digital Teams)
  • Developing trusted client relationships
  • Grow revenue and provide industry knowledge within QSR, FinServe, Apparel/Retail, Auto, Tourism, Telecom & Entertainment
  • Developing media recommendations leveraging Kroger Precision Marketing’s programmatic Audience Solutions to achieve the Brand and Agency objectives.
  • Developing campaign proposals, terms, deliverables and ensuring all campaigns meeting all deadlines throughout the sales to market execution cycle
  • Ensuring proper set up and intake of plans in our systems including Salesforce and our proprietary targeting and measurement systems

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in consultative selling, with proven ability to deliver sales results
  • Previous selling history of data usage for media targeting and programmatic media.
  • Strong understanding of data usage for media targeting as well as programmatic platforms
  • Experience engaging with agencies and brand direct clients across marketing verticals, including Ecomm, Brand & National advertising, Retail Teams and Digital Media
  • Proven client leadership skills; ability to develop relationships and influence
  • Analytical acumen to make decisions; understand and optimize media campaigns
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to internally partner on behalf of the client
  • Effective and proactive project management skills
  • Ability to articulate and translate client objectives to build a media plan
  • Comfort interpreting closed-loop media measurement tying marketing to sales using retail data
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to share actionable recommendations in a concise and persuasive manner
  • Bachelors' degree B.A. / B.S or equivalent work experience.
  • 6+ Digital media and advertising sales
  • Travel is required to advance client relationships (up to 50% of time depending on location)
    • Salary to be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and alignment with market data. In addition to salary, this position is also eligible for commissions. Base Range for New York: $138,600 - $189,000.
