The #Postitwars Are the Best Use for Sticky Notes You'll See This Year

My co-worker borrowed my Post-it pad yesterday. When she asked, I nodded, dimly aware that I even had the sticky notes on my desk. I rarely use them. All my notes these days are digital; I'm lucky if I can find a pen.

But, I digress. I have little use for paper these days, and my guess is that you don't either—but you've probably got a sticky note pad sitting on your desk right now. You can continue to stare at them or debate starting a Post-it War.

A what?

Yes, a Post-it War. As of last week it’s a real thing that started on one very lucky block in New York City. Four companies started decorating their street-facing windows with messages and decorations made out of—wait for it—sticky notes.

As someone who’s certainly had those days when I’d rather do anything but work, I’m jealous that I didn’t think of this genius idea: so simple, yet so, so entertaining. However, rather than beating myself up up, I’m instead going to enjoy the war so far.

And if you're so inspired, maybe you can convince your office to participate in its own version of the #Postitwars. You never know what kind of creative thinking it could spur.
